Scotty Lago’s bronze medal in halfpipe at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver included a lineup of tricks unseen in prior Olympic competitions. As one of the illest snowboarders in the world, he’s also one of the most generous.
Some of the organizations Scotty has worked with include the Floating Hospital for Children in Boston and the Action Sports Environmental Coalition, which received the proceeds of sales from his 2008-2009 Signature Series Pro Model (FLOW Quantum Snowboard).
He may be known for giving back to his community, but when it comes to competing, he’s no Mr. Nice Guy. In 2009, Scotty took silver in Slopestyle at the X Games, top honors at the US Open Quarterpipe event and third in Slopestyle, which secured him the Open’s Most Valuable Rider award.
Scotty has a great personality and a winning attitude that’ll keep him on top for years to come.
